I am a mother of two young adult sons, a step-daughter, a new grandmother, and a recent widow after 28 years of marriage. I have practiced law for more than thirty years, and I still truly love what I do. My greatest joy is helping people through some of the hardest seasons of their lives — stopping garnishments, foreclosures, and repossessions, and giving them a path back to peace.
I believe bankruptcy is a gift of mercy. In Deuteronomy 15:1–2, God directs the release of debts every seven years. To me, that reflects His heart: He sees debt as a form of bondage. And because you are His child, He loves you too much to leave you in that place. My role is to use the tools of Chapter 7 to help you step out of that bondage and into a fresh start.
I also find deep meaning in helping clients set aside criminal convictions. Old charges can prevent you from getting certain jobs, advancing in careers like nursing, remaining in this country, or exercising your right to own a firearm. Clearing those records and restoring rights is incredibly rewarding work because it allows people to move forward without the weight of their past holding them back.
I know God hates divorce, but I also believe He hates violence and abuse. When you and your children are in an unsafe relationship, you may need both protection and a strong custody plan. In those moments, I come alongside you as a steady advocate — combining legal skill with compassion — to help you find safety, stability, and hope for your future.
